0n the 22th of June we had sports day
First we did the crossbar challenge with our gaelic coach Micheal. Next we did the clothes peg game. The objective of this game is to take the pegs off the clothesline and then the next person has to put them back on again. After that we did the obstacle course. First we went in teams but then the teacher timed us individualy. Our next game was the sponge game. The objective of this game was to get the water from one bucket to the other one using the sponge. We played many more games and they were all really fun. After the games the teachers got an ice cream truck to come to the school. We had an amazing sports day.

Digital Excellence
The school has done multiple digital projects lately and has excelled at using laptops. Here are some samples of our work.
Lecarrow Soccer
On the 18th of May our senior room went to Lecarrow for the seven-a-side soccer. Mrs.Gilligan and Mrs.Muldoon two of our teachers travelled with us and coached the teams through the matches. Sadly the boys team did not qualify for the next round but the girls got through to the County Final.
On Wednesday the 24th of May the boys and girls from the senior room also attended the first round in Gaelic in Ballyforan. The girls got through to the quarter finals and the boys competed well but sadly lost to Creggs N.S.
Bizworld Contest
On the 19th of May two teams from our school advanced to the Leinster Regional Finals for Bizworld a young entrepreneur programme. They were among six other teams from a huge area which is a big achievement. The two teams that participated were CSK and Terrific Trolley. CSK was a security installment and Terrific Trolley was a robotic trolley.
Irish Aid competition
On Monday the 15th of May, four students from our school attended the Irish Aid Regional Finals in Sligo. It was held in the Model Art Gallery that is situated in the centre of Sligo town. There were twelve schools competing. We were very unfortunate not to get to the next round but it was a great experience and we really enjoyed the day.

Sketching New York City outside in the glorious sunshine
This week in the senior classes we spent some time sketching outside in the sunshine. This month we have been learning about New York City past and present. The children spent time writing stories about emigration and Ellis Island, we also designed New York tourism brochures.
